Traditional side-handled Japanese teapot, Kyusu, from Tokoname, Aichi. This medium sized outside glazed teapot has a graduated earthy greenish brown natural color and a built-in stainless strainer. Handmade spout is no-drip spout. The inside is not glazed to allow interaction with the clay during steeping, which improves flavour and adds iron to the tea. Functional design for ease of use and cleaning. A nice everyday teapot for Japanese tea lovers.
