A unique teapot from the Tokoname region in Japan. Tokoname-ware is made of fine-grained clay containing a high amount of iron; reducing tannin and bitterness and providing iron . This teapot is designed for functionality with a unique built-in, hand-made strainer. The design makes it easy to pour tea and clean.
A larger version of the 88 Night Kyusu, the strainer has 99 holes: symbolizes a 99th birthday and wishes for a long life. It comes in white and gray.
