This beautiful Japan blue 'ruri' (lapis lazuli / indigo) hirachawan from Mr. Azuma has a shallower design than most matcha bowls to allow the matcha to cool more quickly during the hot summer season. Coloured in various shades of tinted glass with swirls of darker blue like ink floating in water it has a textured surface with thumbprint-sized scuff marks on the outside and a smooth glass interior.
