This medium sized Tokoname-ware teapot with a back handle is from Aichi prefecture. While Tokoname is famous for traditional side-handle kyusu teapot, this is rare to make a back handle teapot for steeping black tea with the clay. The clay has a brownish black color and doesn’t show stain inside. It has a built-in strainer and no-drip spout. Functional design for ease of use and cleaning. Enjoy this teapot for black tea, oolong tea and green tea.
