Yuzamashi is a hand-crafted Japanese water-cooling pitcher or water cooler. It is used to lower the temperature of hot water for steeping teas, especially for high-end sencha and gyokuro. This traditional red clay ceramic yuzamashi is Masuko-ware from Tochigi prefecture. It is glazed ceramic with a natural earthy dark brown and grayish color. A natural, imperfect design in traditional wabi-sabi style with a steady back handle.
