This machine-ground organic houjicha from Uji, Kyoto uses two types of mills to produce a fine, smooth powder that can be enjoyed as a drink by mixing with hot water right in your cup. Simple and convenient. It is also versatile as an ingredient for lattes and other drinks as well as in baking or cooking.
It has a deep brown colour, a mild grassy aroma, an earthy, woody flavour with a smoky after taste. A great way to get all of the nutrients of houjicha green tea with less caffeine than matcha as well as another option for your tea lattes.

Water: 250 mL at 90-100 °C (or cold water for iced tea)
