Houjicha Cake


  • 3 eggs – room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1-cup butter – room temperature
  • 2 tbsp houjicha powder (premium yuki houjicha power
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp milk


Preheat oven to 340 degrees F. Put butter in a large bowl.
Add sugar to the butter and mix well. Add mixed beaten eggs
and milk gradually and stir well. Sift flour, baking powder, and
houjicha powder together. Add the powder mixture to the egg
mixture. Pour the mixed batter into a buttered loaf pan and bake
for 40-45 minutes.
