Nagatani Tea Farm – Ujidawara Region
Altitude: 250 m Prefecture: Kyoto
The Nagatani family has been growing award winning green tea for six generations in Ujitawara, Kyoto Prefecture, which is a rural area surrounded by mountains at 250 m. The Nagatani family has grown certified organic tea since 1990. This altitude causes the tea plants to grow more slowly so that they are harvested in the mid-late spring. This, combined with clean water and rich soil, produces high quality teas.
