Yoshida Meicha-en – Uji Region

The award winning Yoshida tea farm has been producing high-end Japanese matcha and gyokuro teas for 16 generations - over 400 years. They’ve received the Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award 20 times in the past. Uji is the original region for producing matcha tea. It has the oldest tea garden in Japan, built in 1206. The tea fields in the garden have been maintained using traditional farming methods and tea is produced using traditional production skills.
