Yuzamashi is a Japanese water-cooling pitcher or water cooler. It is used to lower the temperature of hot water for steeping teas, especially for high-end sencha and gyokuro. This traditional yuzamashi is Tokoname-ware from Aichi prefecture. The thick, glazed ceramic has a beautiful flowing design and is greyish white with smoky pink spots and a side handle.
